Electropolishing
Electropolishing is an advanced surface finishing process primarily applied to 304 and 316 grade stainless steel, where metal surfaces are treated in special electrolyte baths using controlled electrical current. This process uniformly removes micron-level roughness, burrs, and microscopic surface irregularities.
Unlike mechanical polishing, electropolishing smooths the surface without abrasion by selectively dissolving the outermost metal layer. This results in maximum surface smoothness while strengthening the metal’s natural passive layer, significantly improving corrosion resistance.
High-precision electropolishing enhances surface brightness and creates a clean, hygienic, and easy-to-clean finish, making it ideal for high-quality and performance-critical applications.
